We have a great opportunity in our own backyard for new mountain bike trails! Mammoth Cave National Park is moving through the special regulations process to open new trails to mountain bikes. Their plan is now out for public comment and IMBA has set up an action alert outlining the process. Please take a few minutes to submit a comment; here is the link to our alert. Winters are always tough on the Forest.  It is Nature’s way of working to keep the Forest healthy and a habitat for many species of animals.  With the arrival of spring, it is time to gather our volunteers and head out to check the conditions on the Sheltowee Trace NRT.   Winter snow and ice can bring down trees all along the trail corridor.  Steps, hillside trails can erode with the rain.  Bridges can be washed out or damaged.

Fueled by new state and local leadership our mission is to advocate the development of  sustainable trail systems across Kentucky through education, awareness and volunteer programs. KyMBA strives to build strong working relationships with land managers to achieve project goals and to maximize the enjoyment experienced by the trail user.
