KyMBA Louisville Adopts Cherokee Park Trails
That’s right! KyMBA Louisville Chapter has officially adopted the trails of Cherokee Park as a part of the Mayor’s Adopt-A-Park Program. We are excited to have this opportunity to further develop our relationship with Olmsted Parks Conservancy and Louisvile Metro Parks towards a common goal of the design, construction and maintenance of world class sustainable trails for all user groups to enjoy.
Headed by a new leadership team, KyMBA has made great progress this year with recent updates to Hogan’s Fountain Trail and completion of the new Cochran and Baringer Hill Trails. With over 400 volunteer hours logged to date we look forward to building upon our recent success as we continue to make trail improvements throughout Cherokee Park in an effort to provide a safe and enjoyable trail experience.
As we continue to build new trail and earn the trust of land managers throughout the state we encourage mountain bikers to take this opportunity to get involved and give back to the trails they ride.
KyMBA would like to thank all of the members and volunteers who have showed up to give their valuable time, your hard work is paying off and has not gone unnoticed. Special thanks go out to Olmsted Park Conservancy and Metro Parks for their continued help and support!
See you on the trail!
