Louisville – Waverly Park

Waverly has been one of Louisville’s best keep secrets however it is quickly becoming a premier mountain bike destination for Kentucky and beyond.  Located on 300 acres of beautiful hardwood forest, Waverly Park has received many upgrades over the past few years such as a new fishing dock, parking lot, pavilion, new spillway bridge and most notably new sustainable trails!  Since the successful completion of the new 1 mile Fresh Air Trail located below the radio tower, Kymba continues to work closely with Metro Parks Natural Areas as we ramp up to begin work on a new 1.5 mile segment that will complete a full 8 mile loop at Waverly.  Once completed in late spring of 2011, this new section is sure to take this trail system to the next level!

Kymba Louisville currently have a standing trail work day on the 3rd Saturday of every month, be sure to check our event calendar and our meetup group at http://www.meetup.com/Louisville-Mountainbikers/ for information on how you can become a trail crew member and contribute to the construction of world class trails in Louisville!
