Ben Hawes Interview with Alex Stewart
The city of Owensboro is paying $25,000 for new biking and hiking trails at Ben Hawes Park.
Alex Stewart of Spectrum Trail Design is marking the corridor for the proposed trail. “This project is harder than most because of all the stuff on the ground,” says Alex Stewart.
Once this process is complete for all the trails, city maintenance and jail crews can remove debris. Crews will also learn how to build and maintain trails for future projects.

Another story how one person can make a big difference.  Richard Dixon of KyMBA battled through many obstacles to get the plan for building new trails at Ben Hawes into motion.
