After the completion of the Twisted Oliver Trail, it’s success boiled over and USACE BRL working with KY State Parks reacquired 144 Acres of prime trail Real estate. SW KyMBA with support of Cave Country Trails hired Ed Sutton with Trail Dynamics to survey the land and help us throw down feature rich flag-line for two separate loops. The War Hammer Loop and the Bagpipe Burner Loop make up the future Highlander Trail. Building and Fundraising is underway. Expected opening of War Hammer Loop is slated for early Spring of 2022.
