Big thanks to everyone that went above and beyond at Ben Hawes last week. Alex Stewart, the city of Owensboro, the jail crew, and our volunteers made great progress! They completed over a mile of new trail!!! This trail will be a classic “Alex Stewart Trail”, it will be fast, flowy! Alex Stewart ended up staying longer than planned and with help from Scott and Chris together they cut more trail than we ever anticipated. Help ensure the construction of new mountain bike trails at Mammoth Cave National Park

We have a great opportunity in our own backyard for new mountain bike trails! Mammoth Cave National Park is moving through the special regulations process to open new trails to mountain bikes. Their plan is now out for public comment and IMBA has set up an action alert outlining the process. Please take a few minutes to submit a comment; here is the link to our alert. The deadline for comments is July 17th and we are counting on you to help us get the word out!

We had a great turn out on 6/11/11 for the trail workday at Brier Creek! We had a total of 8 people to work on clearing the corridor for the new trail. We completed clearing about 1.5 – 2 miles of trail corridor! Great job people!!! We had nothing but hardcore workers on 6/11/11!!!!!! Hope to see everyone out on the next trail workday on July 9th!
