Join us for a fun-filled morning of bicycling in Mammoth Cave National Park. Bowling Green KyMBA is hosting “Take a Kid Mountain Biking Day†on Saturday October 1, 2011 from 10am – 2pm. We will have a quick bicycle safety check-up, brief overview of bicycle safety and rules of the trail. KyMBA will lead guided bicycle rides on the Mammoth Cave railroad bike and hike trail for all ages and all skill levels. Helmets and closed toe shoes are required for participants.

We had one of the best trail workdays ever! Cadets from the Kentucky Bluegrass ChalleNGe Academy volunteered their time to help us build more singletrack (almost 1,200′) on the Brier Creek Trail at Nolin Lake State Park.
The Bluegrass ChalleNGe Academy has been changing the lives of young people since July 1999. Over 1,600 students have graduated from the Academy and many have gone on to accomplish much more than they ever thought possible.    Â

With this weekend being a holiday weekend, high temperatures, and a local road race we had a low turnout. We still had four people come out and we finished about 900′ of trail!
